For Mathew’s birthday I gave him yarn for a new pair of socks. I purchased ONline Supersocke 100 Flower Color in colourway 1340. After I had Kris’s Socks almost finished, I cast on using Susan A Gordon’s Self Striping Toe Up Socks, since I wanted to try it for his feet. I managed to squeeze these socks out of a 100 gram ball, but it was cutting it very close.

They fit okay, but are a little tight around the ankle. I think this is because the afterthought heel resulted in the ribbing starting lower than with a short-row heel. In future I think I will stick with the short-row heel.
