At the beginning of the month I received word that a friend’s baby had been born. It coincided with needing a break on the projects that I had been working on, so I concentrated on knitting a little baby sweater for a week. The baby’s mom is one of the most energetic people I know, so I chose the bright and colourful Knit Picks Felici Sport in the Southwest colourway. I generated a baby sweater pattern for this yarn last year and I used it again for this sweater. Now that the buttons have been added, I can ship it off to the newborn’s family.

The Felici Sport is one of my favourite yarns to use for fast and simple baby sweaters, it’s a shame that it’s been discontinued. Luckily a few more sweaters worth still to go in my stash.
