Recap of the Last 8 Months, 2013 Resolutions, & Week of January 21, 2013 Goals
It’s been awhile since I posted. The last 7 months or so have been full of change. Mathew took a temporary office job in May for 6 months, so Charlie (my dog) and I made the trek to Victoria every second weekend and Mathew came up island the other weekends while he was on land, and not away for a month at a time. Last Spring, I applied for and was hired to cover a maternity leave position in a different department at the University where I work and I made the move to it in mid-June. I spent the summer learning the new position. Then in the Fall, I applied for and was hired for a position in the same department. I spent half of November and all of December figuring out my new role, helping cover the position that I had just left, and training someone to take over the new position (that was a particularly exhausting 6 weeks). Now I’m still learning my new PERMANENT position (it’s the first job in years that’s really mine) but things are going well and it’s a great fit for me.
Crafting-wise things have been trucking along. I don’t make as much progress on things when Mathew is around as I do when he’s away, so spending pretty much every weekend together for 6 months has impacted my productivity. Looking back at my 2012 resolutions, I am much more comfortable and competent in crochet. I gave up on the 12 in 2012 challenge, I think I likely met the goal or came close but I fizzled out on the tracking of it.
For 2013, I want to continue learning about crochet and get back on track with documenting my projects in Ravelry. Right now I have 6 projects that I haven’t marked as complete only because I need to photograph them! I’d also like to return to setting and documenting weekly goals on this blog so that I feel like I’m accomplishing things. Some of these goals involve projects that I’ve set goals for before. *awkward cough*
Goals for this Week:
- Add photos to 2 otherwise completed projects in Ravelry
- Put together Celtic Tote
- Add a skull to Bill’s Skull Scarf
- Add 2 rows to the Ripple Baby Blanket
