Regia Canyon Socks Modelled

I finished a pair of plain stockinette socks made out of Regia Canyon in the 2808 colourway using Wendy’s Generic Toe-Up Sock pattern. I used Judy’s Magic Cast on for the toe and a short-row heel. This is my fourth completed project for the 12 in 2012 challenge.

I wasn’t too thrilled with the striping sequence at first, I expected more orange and lime green from the way the colours looked in the ball. After I turned the heel of the first sock I was much happier, I think I just needed more stripes in order to appreciate the way they looked.

Celtic Tote

The Celtic Tote has been progressing, there are less than 20 rows of the chart left on the last piece to knit, the front.

Mathew’s 3rd Socks

The first of Mathew’s 3rd Socks has a foot and the short row heel has been started.

The second Podster Glove is waiting for fingers, a thumb, and a mitten top.

My third 12 in 2012 project and my first crochet project is complete. Well actually it’s been finished and in use for a few weeks but I just took photos recently.

I love my Granny Square bag. I’ve been using it as my crochet project bag, and something about a crochet bag holding crochet projects just tickles me. I ended up changing a few of the squares in order to get the finished look I wanted. So the squares with yellow outer rounds were frogged back and the yellow replaced with blue.

I want to add a lining to the bag, in order to keep from being paranoid that my crochet hook is going to work it’s way out the holes and end up getting lost. I haven’t got there yet, but since it’s in use I’m calling it complete.

Last Week’s Goals Update:

  1. Finish the First Crochet Bag – Done!
  2. Start the Spiral Baby Blanket – Started, now I can’t stop working on it.
  3. Work two fingers on the second Podster Glove – Incomplete, I finished the hand, but did not get any fingers done.
  4. Knit 10 rows on the Celtic Tote front – Completed!

Last night I started the Spiral Baby Blanket that I’m making for my pseudo-cousin’s baby who is due to arrive in April. The baby in question is referred to as Baby Burger, so I’m referring to this blanket the Baby Burger Blanket (aka B3). I’m using Red Heart Comfort in White and Minty Green (not photographed accurately below) and Donna Mason-Svara’s Free SmoothFox’s Spiral Baby Blanket Nbr 2 pattern.

So far this pattern is very addictive, I just want to keep going around in circles! After one night of crocheting it’s 11″ across. I know each round will take longer, but it just seems to be going very quickly, even though I’m not a fast crocheter yet.
