Starry Night Shawl Ready to Go
In early June my Starry Night Shawl was blocked, thanks to help from my Mom and her blocking wires. I love how it turned out. It has just the right amount of sparkle and is big enough to cover my shoulders and stay in place. In order to ensure variety in my wardrobe, the next shawl I make I think will be large enough that I can snuggle right into it if I need to.
Last weekend I got the opportunity to wear the shawl for the first time at my cousin’s wedding. The air conditioning in the hall was just the right amount of burr for this wrap.
My favourite compliment was from a family friend, Sandra. She asked if I had made it and then quickly added that it wasn’t that it looked like I had made it but she knows how talented I am and that if she had been looking to buy this shawl it would be in a boutique store. It was cute that Sandra felt the need to clarify why she was asking.
