I missed last Friday so here’s a Charlie double-shot!
I finished the Ripple Baby Blanket! I used Susan B’s Easy Ripple Afghan pattern and my goal was to use the leftover Red Heart Comfort from the Spiral Baby Blanket and I came close but the blanket was getting fairly large so I decided to finish it even though there was still yarn left. This project took awhile because when I started it I didn’t have anyone in mind to give it to. I picked up speed on the project when I found out that one of my oldest friends is expecting a baby this summer and I decided that this blanket would make a perfect gift.
My mom captured this picture of Fidget and it’s one of my favourites. I love how his ears look when he runs. The dogs all love the tunnel.
Here’s what my temperature scarf looks like up to the end of February. I’m trying a different way to weave in the ends, although I’m sure that the wobbly edges, from the duplicate stitch, will block out.
February was mostly teal blue temperatures with 6 days of warmer green temperatures interspersed throughout the month.
A co-worker recently had a baby girl and when I was searching for a fun but quick baby hat to knit, I discovered the Baby Flower Hat pattern by Ewelina Murach. I used a ball of Berrocco Comfort DK that I didn’t need from a baby sweater I made a few years ago and I easily have enough leftover for another baby hat.
This pattern starts at the top and works to the brim. The first night of knitting was the most fun as I worked the lace flower design. After that it was another couple of hours to finish the hat off. My Baby Flower Hat turned out super-cute and the 0-3 month size is perfect for this adorable little baby girl.
